We had 66 people present at the October 8th dance and 60 people present at the October 22nd dance with Paul Lagatore claiming first place in the costume contest. Second
place went to Ignas & Audrey Skrupskelis while Wolfgang & Pamela came in
third.
Welcome to new members Bryon Catoe and Mary Joseph and welcome back to Karen Roof after a time out due to back
problems.
Happy Birthday to: Bryon Catoe, Ann Fell, Lisa Hsu, Doris Wood. Apology to Nisha Kubodera for overlooking his October
birthday.
At the general meeting October 8th, before the dance, election was held for four offices for 2006. Patty Hill was elected President, Mike Verdone was elected Treasurer, Donna Swinbank was elected Director At Large For Outreach and Lee Minghi was elected Director At Large For Programs And
Entertainment.
Remember, November 12th is French
Night. Plan to attend, so Donna Swinbank will know her hard work was not in vain. Alliance Francais has already checked us out. December 10th is our semi-formal and the time to bring a gift for a child to be donated to a local
charity.
Three couples from the USC
GamecockDancesport Club participated in the SE Regional Championships in Atlanta. The team
members entered a total of seven events during the collegiate competition. It was an exciting event, and all of the students came away with medals, along with a stronger determination to improve their
dancing.
A sincere thank you to the great group of people, members and guests, who helped clean up after the October 8th dance. The job was done, and everyone was out of the building by 11:00 PM. We do want to wait until after the last dance to start moving tables and chairs. You don’t like to be rushed from the restaurant, do you?
The Fancy Feet Dancers performed at Waterford Senior Living Center September 17th. It was the third time dancing there, and many residents begged for a return visit. On October 8th, they performed at Atria Forest Lake where Norma Davis’ husband, Beb, is a resident. It was moving to watch Norma and Beb do a waltz. On November 19th, The Fancy Feet Dancers will provide the entertainment at the Ridgeway Health and Rehab Center in Ridgeway. They will dance at Agape at Kathwood in December.
